A Freezer Full :)

So not that it's great food that we are going to be excited to eat, but we have food that has been premade and will easily be able to be cooked or warmed for meals. I imagine after a child arrives you really just want to eat something and it doesn't matter what it is, since it might be your first meal of the day, lol. It also doesn't mean we won't put Rossi's (local pizza joint) on speed dial, lol.

Thus far I have a meatloaf, skillet lasagna, lasagna, chili, boiled dinner, cooked boneless chicken and about 3lbs of browned hamburger. There is also a skillet dinner and three chinese frozen entree things. Our freezer doesn't have much room left for any food we might want to keep now, but eh I would rather cook fresh. Oh there is also some predone taco meat and we have lots of spaghetti sauces and pasta. I'm going to pick up more mac & cheese, couscous and anything else I think we might be willing to eat that comes from the pantry. I'm trying to do all this with my fussy husband in mind...so it gets hard to try and figure something out.

I also already told Jason that many of our first nights will probably be ordered out. Since not only do we have many places that deliver, but Friendly's and Applebees both do to go things. All the times I didn't send him out while pregnant will be used up I'm sure when I'm not pregnant ;)

Not that I'm expecting it to be too bad. I have talked to a friend who just a little one over a month ago and really other than your place gets a little cluttery and you get VERY tired, you make it. It's an itty bitty baby against Jason and I, I'm pretty sure we will win since so many have done it before us and will do it after us :) I tend to overprepare so I'm guessing I already have everything we could possily need if there were a nuclear explosion the day we brought the baby home and we all had to stay indoors for two weeks. Jason might have to learn to eat things he's not the happiest about, but I know I would live ;) Now if the internet and the tv were to go...that might be a different story :) hehehehe

So now we are just sitting back and waiting for the kiddo to come. Oh also according to Jason I need to stop putting things in the car to take to the hospital. But who wouldn't want to bring thier boppy?

OH and since it seems I haven't used on these in awhile...for your enjoyment :) Which has totally been how I've been feeling the past few days!

And after trying to find a cute anniversary outfit...I can relate to this cartoon!

More Belly Moving Videos

Just because I was bored tonight and she wasn't bored, lol. Nothing to major, but she is getting ALOT bigger since she now makes my belly move side to side. Also you can't tell from any pics I tried to take but at one point one side of my tummy was much higher than the other side, lol. Sorry they are dark...these were done at 11pm so not much light in the ole apartment.

Mommy and Daddy Belly Collage

I spent some creative time with our belly shots :) I'm waiting to see how it prints out. Tom is supposed to try it out on his wax printer ;)

Look What We Did Today!

Jason installed the car seat before he went on his hike with Tom :) Thankfully since I forgot to bring my camera downstairs Tom was there with his iPhone :) So he snapped a few pics. Thanks Tom! We don't have any of the actual car seat going in since we had a little trouble with it. It seems like the car seat goes in awful hard. The base is nice and tight, which you want...but then to get the seat in you have to really wedge it down in there...so getting it out is tricky. But I imagine with time we will get the hang of it. Also trying to lean in and get a seat out oa hot car with a preggo belly is hard...so it might get easier for me after the kiddo comes. I don't see me lugging the seat up the stairs to often. But we will see. The seat is actually fairly light when it's not connected to the base. It's in and ready to go. Thats the important part ;) All my bags for L&D and are also in the car. As you can see some of them on the floor in the next pic. Actually they take up the space of both floors, but one bag is for the baby. I also have clothes and snacks packed for Jason. I have to say it was a little weird seeing a car seat in the car when I was driving today...but I'm sure it will be even weirder when there is a baby in it :)

Now we just need to to install the mirror, the window shades , and the baby on board sign and we are ready to go :)

Oh ya and she's got...

HAIR!
I forgot to mention that on the actual ultrasound you could see it! Well during the TVU one that is. But she had all these little squiggles coming off her head :) The tech pointed them out. Which doesn't surprise me too much since Kaitlin came out with a nice little dusting of hair, so I expected this one to have some too :) But it was cute to see it on ultrasound. I should have asked her to print that pic...but like Jason keeps telling me...soon enough we will be able to take ALL the pics we want to :)

Cerclage is OUT!

So we are now stitch free :) Today I had a perfect NST :) The kiddo behaved like they want her to. They look for 3 accels in 20 minutes she did them in 8 min, but I had to stay on there for the full 20.

Off to the appointment.

They did the Group Strep test first and then in went the speculum. She rooted around for a moment found a stitch snip and out if came. I felt a little crampy but nothing really major. Then the question was posed, do I have one or two? Neither of us knew, lol. She looked around a little bit but couldn't find another one, partly due to the tear(s) I already have on my cervix due to tearing through my cerclage last time.

So she went to go see if it said anything in my chart while I stayed in the stirrups. They actually had to go pull it from the computer because it wasn't even in my chart. It was confirmed that I had another one in there somewhere.

She started looking around again and then asked for a longer speculum. While they were out looking for it she ended moving the speculum just right where she found it and snip out it came too.

The pain wasn't too bad. Nothing really major. I had a moment where I winced, but it was brief.

She choose not to do an exam figuring my cervix went through enough today. She also wants to avoid any kind of infection so she is waiting. I also have orders to use my AVC cream for the next few nights.

I go back for a NST on Friday and I was told to make sure baby moves alright and call if I have ANY signs of contractions, etc. She didn't even see any bleeding but said I could spot a tiny bit later. She also asked to see me early next week so we have a Monday appointment.

Ultrasound update: She has NO idea why the tech asked me if I was diabetic. Baby is weighing about 5lbs 9oz. Fluid levels look great, nothing really to report there either. Heart rate around 160.

We are still doing well and enjoying being a normal kind of pregnant woman :)

Here is a picture of the stitches!

Yes I kept them but mainly to share with my IC board gals. We keep each other informed this way...it helps going in to know more about what it looks like and whats going on than walking into your first cerclage surgery blind.

35 Weeks!!!

35 Weeks Pregnant

Weight = 5 1/2 lbs
Height = 18 inches

A fact about week 35 of pregnancy: Babies who are born during this week or after have a 99 percent chance of survival.

At this point in pregnancy, most babies' eyes are blue, although many change color after birth.
Other fetal development occurring around week 35 of pregnancy includes the following:
  • Your baby continues to gain weight and store fat all over his or her body
  • The fingernails reach the end of the fingertips
  • The lungs are almost fully developed.
If your baby is in the head-first position, his or her head is now resting on your pubic bone in preparation for labor.

As Patrick Swayze put it, "Nobody puts baby in a corner!" Doubly true for your little tenant. Your baby has pretty much taken over your entire torso by now. Over the past few months, he's squished and mushed all of your organs out of the way. Any day now, he'll make a final move and shove your heart up and to the left to make more room for himself. (See, he's got your heart in his hands already.)

By the time you are 35 weeks pregnant, you have likely gained between 24 and 29 pounds. (I think i'm around 10 - 15) Other common physical changes that you may be noticing around week 35 of pregnancy include:
  • Not sleeping well
  • Feelings of anxiety
  • Becoming moodier and more irritable
  • Overall feeling of being physically uncomfortable
  • A decreased sex drive.

Ultrasound Results...

Well some of them. We didn't catch her weight yet, I will know that tomorrow. However my cervix still the SAME! Which means the whole cerclage removal irritating it I'm guessing won't happen. Hopefully I do start shortening some at some point! Which she is head down so we will be going ahead with tomorrows removal.

Also caught her head measurement...31cm which means she's just over 12 inches right now around. So she's about a inch bigger than Kaitlin and is right on track for being about 13 inches at birth.
The tech tried and tried 3d shots, but to no avail the didn't get anything really that clear. My placenta makes it harder and then to top it off this one LOVES to put her arms/hands in her face.
We did get to see her stick her tongue out a few times though! That was cool :) She did do a 3d of it but never printed it :\
I will know more details about the ultrasound tomorrow :) The tech did ask if I had diabetes which makes me wonder if she saw something...so lets just say I'm anxiously awaiting tomorrow...

Super Movements :)

I've discovered she doesn't like mommy drinking cold drinks, like cranberry juice from the fridge, lol. You won't miss these movements! She pretty much started in the moment I hit record.

Interesting Coincedence?

So yesterday Gina and Dan were in town for a visit. And normally Emilie moves all day long. But while they were here she barely moved (perhaps it was all the vibes Gina sent off, who knows ;) hehehe) At any rate Emilie kept fairly still. It was getting to the point I was a little worried since it wasn't our normal. Then they left...she came back to life. It was just Jason, Tom and I and she started in with all sorts of kicking and moving, which con't right through the evening as usual. Today she's again back to her old self.

My best guess is that she was hearing the new sounds and just was engrossed in them or something. That she just wanted to keep listening, like she was listening to the convos looking for dirt or something, lol. Perhaps she's going to take after mom's side of the family ;)

Mommy and Daddy Photo Shoot

We had Tom over yesterday and took some picks of Jason and I together. I love the maternity shots people have done and since we have those nice cameras I figure it was time to use them :) Jason as you can see was thrilled ;) heheheh Actually he was being a little dumb he asked me how I wanted him to look, so I said mean :) And Tom snapped the pic.

There area few more shots in the picasa gallery :)
But here is one of my favs :)

Tour of the Nursery....

Welcome to Emilie's Room :)
Of course this won't be her real room until she's older, since she will be sleeping in Mommy and Daddy's room for the first few months in a bassinet.

(remember you can click on the pictures to make them bigger)

This is the far wall of the room. You can see it starts with the changing station. Which won't work for too long since I'm sure she is bound quickly out grow it. But it should get daddy comfy with changing diapers. We already have a little stash of preemie and newborn sized diapers. It was recommended to me to have a few preemie sized on hand since they tend to fit a tinier newborn better than newborns. of course the other essential things, a place to throw the dirty diapers, a "hamper" and a basket of wipes and lotions.

The clothes in the dresser are arranged by size. Newborn and 0-3 months are in the top drawer. Then all her dresses and special outfits are hung up. In the bins below there are sleep gowns, receiving blankets, sleep sacks, hats and socks. There also are bottles and teething rings stored on one of those shelves. The lowest shelf has toys. They are more for when she is older (crawling or walking) They are my buys from when I was working at the daycare center, things that I got for the different themes etc. Continuing along that wall is another set of shelves where you will find all sorts of blankets, books, and up top all the nursing things like a pump. Her bath tub is under the shelves on the floor. In one of the diaper bags there are all of Kaitlin's things and stuff for her memorial that I will put out next year.

This the wall across the room from the door. It has my toy box from when I was little (the bassinet is on it) which it also has toys in it along with stuffed animals and misc other baby things. The stroller won't be in the kiddos room forever. It's just there to keep is nice, it will eventually make it's home in the trunk of my car or the garage. I didn't want it smelling all yucky from sitting in the garage for a year so we kept it in the apt. The drawer tote thingy and blue thing on top are not baby things, but yarn.

Above the window we hung a ceramic piece up that a friend of mine gave me. She knows I'm not religious but its very fitting since we both have angels, and I'm sure they both will watch over Emilie ;) So it is sweet to have :)

Then we have the wall when you first walk in. Which of course is sporting the crib. The car seat will soon be installed in the car. There are still misc baby items in the crib that need homes. Like my birth - one year picture frame, etc. There also is a car mirror in there which will be installed when the car seat is.
The different stuffed items on the wall came from a fellow IC sufferer. She and I are due close to the same time and swapped gifts awhile back :) She sent me the sweet wall decorations and a light switch cover we have yet to install.

This is something from Kaitlin's days. My mom embroidered this. I REFUSE to use it! Way to much time has been put into it for it to get stained etc. It's in reality Kaitlin's blanket which she had no idea Kaitlin wouldn't be making it when she choose the angel. It's even one a kind since the little angel was supposed to be blue but she made her purple for me. Nope this blanket is a decoration and not to be dragged on the floor ;)

Not sure what I will do with the second one she's been working on...lol.

As you can see we are back at the door, so the room isn't all that big, but it will work :) The rocking chair is from my early years. My grandmother used to rock me in it and I'm fairly certain it was around before I came into the picure. It does need to be worked on, but for now it will work. It's not splintering or anything. I originally thought this would be where I would always feed the baby. Not sure now. But I have cushions on the chair and burp clothes and bibs beside it in arms reach.

This is a plate that was made for my by my mommy when I was little. When they cleaned out the cellar we came across it, and it was sent to me so I thought it was fitting to hang it up here :)

Last but not least, the tiny bit of wall beside the door. This shelf kind of houses all sorts of different things. I have the bank from the shower, lights, frames, stuffed things, bath toys, etc. I think this will surely evolve I'm sure with the kiddo. I might end up moving the books over to it, but for now it's good to go :)

June 19, 2009

Officially all packed to go

So part of the packing of the hospital bags included our donations in memory of Kaitlin. Which ended up being 4 garbage bags of things. 3 were of everything cloth and one of memory boxes.
Here is our total:
Blankets:
small = 9
medium = 3
larger = 8
burial buntings = 7

Hats = 74
Booties = 11
Dresses = 7
Onsies = 2
Sweaters = 6
Memory boxes = 21

Non homemade (bought):
Blankets = 17
Onsies = 24

For a total of 190 items. I don't think thats too bad :) I might have miscounted some or not counted some but it's a general idea. I feel like I added a bag of things and never wrote them down, but oh well. I can safely say over 150 items are being donated in Kaitlin's memory the day/night/day after her little sister is born. :)

34 Week Appointment

Nothing really to report. Due to having a yeast infection they put off doing the group B test. Which will be done next week. I'm going for an ultrasound next week to double check that this kiddo is head down because if she's not they won't take my cerclage and just schedule me for a c-section. Heart rate if I remember right was around 153. My uterus is measuring 34 inches. And my NST showed no contractions and the baby looked good.

I went and picked up a big pack of hamburger so I could cook it down so we have prebrowned burger for things after the kiddo gets here. Like tacos :\ But atleast it will make for quicker meals. I also cooked up some chicken breasts and put them in the freezer. I mixed a meatloaf together so all it needs is to be baked. I cleaned the freezer out too so there was room for these things. I froze some lazagna that we just recently had. And there is a few things of soup up there. Not sure how yummy it will all be, but I'm guessing that if we are hungry enough we will eat it.

I also went and picked up a few nursing bras today at Baby Depot. They weren't my size, but the book I just got said to get things that aren't tight cause it can decrease milk supply. Which what have right now is kind of snug so I see them getting snugger later on...so I got a couple of larger bras that will atleast take me a little while before I can get more when I know the size I will be after my milk comes in.

Baby Violet Update

Since I've posted about here once I know some of you are curious as to how she keeps doing. She's doing great!! She now weighs 3lbs 4oz. They expect her to weigh in around 5lbs when she reaches her "due date". Most preemies come home around the same time mom was due to have them so her parents are now counting down the days. Violet's mother and I are about the same exact gestation she Violet is a 35 week babe right now.

She is still off any kind of vent and just has a little O2 to keep her happy. She has moved from continuous feeds to bolus feeds. This allows her to feel hungry and full, etc. They also have given her a nipple to practice sucking so soon they can try bottle feeding her.

Soon they expect she will be on room air and will be moved to a different nursery where they will just be waiting for her to eat and grow bigger before coming home.

Her latest eye exam showed nothing the matter. Brain scans show everything is stable. Her central nervous system has matured, and she no longer hates being held or bathed.

Mom still only gets to snuggle with her once a day, hopefully that will start to change when she's moved into another nursery.

34 Weeks!!!

34 Weeks Pregnant
Size = 17 3/4 inches
Weight = 5lbs

Fetal development that is occurring around week 34 of pregnancy includes the following:
  • The skeleton hardens, although the head remains pliable to maneuver through the birth canal
  • The skin becomes less red and less wrinkled
  • The toenails are present, and the fingernails have reached the tips of the fingers
  • Your baby is developing immunities to fight mild infections.
Babies who are born at 34 weeks can usually survive outside of the womb without extensive medical intervention.

Your baby kind of looks like she's coated in a layer of cream cheese these days. The thick, white substance that protects her skin from pruning in the amniotic fluid is called vernix. When she's born you'll probably see some vernix lingering in her "hard-to-reach" places like under her arms, behind her ears and around her va-jay-jay, if she's a she.. Other news from the womb this week:

The soft fur, lanugo, that covered your baby's body for much of her stay in the womb is now almost completely gone. Your baby begins to develop her own immune system, instead of relying solely on antibodies received through the placenta. This will come in handy when some grubby relative manhandles the baby without washing his hands first.

Visiting :)

Visited with Cristina today. Saw her nursery and the kiddo. What a cutie! He's grown since the last time I saw him too!! Which I know is to be expected, lol. I spent alot of time there and we caught up on so many things! I have to say I'm looking forward to getting our two little ones together!! He's going to be so HUGE compared to Emilie, but eh...they will still make a cute baby couple ;) Oh and she got to FINALLY feel Emilie move. We made a pack that I would get to touch her belly and she would mine so we could feel the kiddos inside, but Emilie just never wanted to cooperate...Xavier did like as soon as he started kicking, lol. So I think we know which one is going to be WAY more stubborn. But isn't that what you expect from a princess?

Okay enough rambling. Here are some pictures for your amusement :)

My belly button is forever shrinking!!

June 15, 2009

So Sore!

Some days I can run around and clean with no issues...other days I barely can make it out of the chair :\ Today was one of those days. I did accomplish alot though. I bought us food, which is important. I fixed Jason's Tux poster. I have laundry going. And I need to get off here and fold clothes...I want to nap though, lol.

Baby's movements have changed. She doesn't kick as much as she just pushes and squirms. Then there are the hiccups every morning, and sometimes at night.

I bought a few more nursing nightgowns today. I have a few for the hospital since that way I don't have to worry about unhooking things, etc. But I also wanted some for when we travel to see my little bro. I just need a few sleep bras now and I will be all set :)

I was told today again that I look smaller than what I should be for my gestation. My doc hasn't said anything, just other people's opinions. The lady today guessed we would have a 6lb kiddo. I like her ;)

This is kind of a random post. Not so much to post about as of recent. I think I have almost everything bought that we need, other things can wait. I got some sterilizing bags today so we can sterilize the breast pump parts from when we used it for Kaitlin. Got my birth - one year picture frame. Hospital bags are packed. Washing the last of things today.

Bekah's Right and Left Story

As promised I now have the story that was part of the Right and Left game from the Baby Shower :)

It was a warm July evening. Tiffi only had a few days left before baby Emilie was due. She was standing right to the left of the kitchen sink with only a few dishes left to be done from the evening’s dinner. Suddenly she felt a strange wetness right in her pants. “Oh no!” said Tiffi “I think my water just broke!” Jason jumped right off of his comfy spot on the couch and promptly left. He jumped in the car and drove right to the hospital. He only had two blocks left to go before he got to there when he realized he had left Tiffi at home. He took a quick Left turn and drove right back home to get his wife.

Jason found Tiffi waiting right where he had left her. She jumped right into the car and they drove right back to the hospital. They took a right turn. And then another right turn before they turned left into the parking lot and found a great parking spot right on their left. Tiffi and Jason jumped right out of the car and walked right into the hospital. They took the elevator on their left right to the labor and delivery floor.

When she got to the labor and delivery Unit, Tiffi was excited to find that her favorite nurse, Bekah had not yet left for the day. “All Right!” she exclaimed. Bekah took Tiffi right into a labor and delivery room. After examining Tiffi, Bekah informed her that she had less than a centimeter left to dilate. “All right!” said Tiffi… “This isn’t bad at all.” “I’ll stay right here with you through the whole thing” Jason told Tiffi. Bekah left the room to call Dr El Kassis and let her know about Tiffi’s progress.

A few moments later Tiffi became a bit more uncomfortable. “It’s time” she yelled. Bekah came right back into the room. “You’re right!” she said. “But Unfortunately Dr El Kassis is right in the middle of another delivery. But don’t worry. Jason and I will get you through this. All right?” At that moment a loud thud caused Tiffi and her nurse to look right over to the left of the room to see that Jason had passed out right onto the floor. Fortunately Jason recovered right away because baby Emilie was ready to be delivered right now.

A few moments later baby Emilie was born and was quickly wrapped up and handed right over to her excited parents. “All right!” said Tiffi “she’s just perfect!” The new baby put her left thumb into her mouth and looked right up into her Mommy’s eyes. “This is just right!” said Tiffi.

Last Milestone Item Bought :)

It wouldn't be a new baby item if Joshalynn didn't try it out right ;) lol. See mom it's alot like what you had when I was a baby, but this one bounces and vibrates, but I doubt I will ever use that feature. :)

This one I originally picked out since I couldn't find a pink one I liked. Better to go with Unisex probably anyways. I really am not a fan of the super bright colors, but I know they are good for baby. I picked this one out for two reasons. One being it had the arch of toys instead of a simple mobile. I wanted the arch since it was WAY more interactive. Second it had penguins to make daddy happy :)

I also picked up a mirror for the car, which I suppose is one of those non needed items, but I HATE the fact that when they are in the rear view position you can't see them, so with a mirror I will be able to :) Plus it lights up and sings to the baby by the push of a button in the front seat. So it will probably come in handy on long car trips.

I did NOT buy any clothes this trip :) Unless wrist rattles count :)

Oh and did I mention how nice it was to get OUT of the same stores I've been going to for the last month. For the record I like Sayres Kmart and Walmart better than ours!

33 Week Appointment

I really feel like I've grown overnight!

Appointment update:
I went alone for the first time since we had contractors here working on making our apartment not so hot! It wasn't an ultrasound day so Jason didn't miss much. I went for a NST, which was normal. Nothing wrong with my pee or blood pressure. Saw my doc and asked her a few questions.

1. How soon after delivery can we try breastfeeding? As long as the baby has a good apgar score she will remain snuggled with us for awhile, meaning plenty of time to try breastfeeding. If she needs a little "work" they take her to the warmer and then bring her back.

2. Heartburn! How to get relief !?! She suggested Malox and Pepcid AC. So I bought both to give them a try. I also did my own research and found that drinking water while you have symtoms of it NOT good. Which was my first mistake! So we will see in the next few days if I feel better.

3. How many nights do you typically stay in the hospital after birth (need to know to pack our bags)? Two nights usually but count on three.

4. Pelvic Pain? Normal? And feeling like my cervix is bruised? All normal, all good signs my body con'ts to get ready for labor as things loosen up. So nothing to worry about.

5. When will my cerclage get taken out? In two weeks! Orginally we discussed at 36 weeks which would have been in 3 weeks, but she also mentioned at 35 weeks. Since she has to go up there anyways at 35 I figure might as well do it all at once and she agreed. So YAY! I want to give my cervix all the time it needs to dilate since our new concern is it NOT dilating due to scar tissue.

Emilie's heartrate was fine during the in office check. Nothing really new to report other than the above. I'm guessing my appointments are going to become more and more boring until delivery.

33 Weeks!!

33 Weeks Pregnant

Size = 17 1/2 inches
Weight = 4 1/2 pounds

Throughout the next few weeks, your baby will gain more than half of his or her birth weight. Your baby will also move less now as he or she runs out of room. By the time you are 33 weeks pregnant, your baby has probably also moved into his or her birth position and is ready to go! AND in the last ultrasound she was head down!! YAY!!
Other fetal development that is occurring when you are 33 weeks pregnant includes the following:
  • Your baby is practicing breathing by inhaling amniotic fluid to exercise his or her lungs.Which we got to see her do in the ultrasound in the ER! Yay!!
  • Some babies have full heads of hair by now; others have only a bit of fuzz.
  • Your baby has a normal waking and sleeping pattern. Many times, your movement throughout the day will lull him or her to sleep; while you are inactive at night, it is a chance for him or her to be awake and active.
  • When your baby is sleeping (which is most of the time) he or she may experience the rapid eye movement (REM) stage, which is the dreaming period of slee
  • Your baby can listen, feel, and see.
  • The pupils of the eye can detect light and constrict and dilate.
  • Your baby's lungs are almost completely matured.
  • Fat will continue to be deposited on your baby's body for protection and warmth.
  • Your baby's skin color turns from red to pink.

By week 33 of pregnancy, you will have gained between 22 and 28 pounds from your pre-pregnancy weight. (nope!) The good news is that of the pound a week you're gaining now, roughly half of it is going to your baby. (now I'm about 1lb a week, but that even seems to be tapering off again...)
Your belly button may "pop" anytime from here on out (not yet, but we are getting close!)

I have also started getting a braxton hicks contraction on occasion. I think I've had three in the past week or so ... they are rare...

Mission Impossible?

I have been looking for cute pink sleep gowns for what seems like a year! I have tons of other colors, I just wanted one special pink one...could I find one NO! So today I went and even looked in Kohls, a place I NEVER go. I didn't walk out empty handed but I didn't find my sleep gowns either...

I absolutely feel in love with the set below. I am hoping she can wear it home in November or early December when we go :) It's all fuzzy and warm :)

So I left feeling a little defeated, since I had checked Walmart, Target and Kmart on previous tips out. I needed hamburger rolls so I thought what the heck lets go to Walmart and check just one more time...or concede and buy theones they have that I deemed okay.
I looked around, picked up the ones i thought were okay...also picked up a small thing of size N and Preemie diapers so I can work on packing the hospital bag. Then found a larger bag of N diapers on the clearance rack since they are apparently no longer carrying the packs in that amount :) So got a deal...then found this, which I thought was really cool!

Then just as I was about to go...I found the gowns I've been searching for on clearance!

They are convertable so I probably always passed them by, and when I took a pic of them I realized the cat in the bib squeaks, lol.

So I was succesful. It took three stores (since I started at Target cause I had to return a few dresses I didn't like that I got for the shower) but I did it! Then on the way home I went to Big Lots and going two sleeveless sleep sacks for only $7 each! So I actually feel ready now :)

And yes I know...I already have a TON of clothes so why buy more. I can't help myself! Majority of the clothes were bought for Kaitlin. I do plan on using them but how could I stop buying when I had a new baby on the way? Plus Kaitlin I was searching for purple and this one I want pink. So I know we have more than what she will probably wear, but it keeps me amused. Plus when I was preggo I bought just for the sake in hopes to fill the onsie or outfit one day, so it's also my therapy. I'm better about it :) I know only buy 6 months+. Also I did ALOT of ebay shopping and I would like half the clothes and feel soso on the others, but would win the lots anyways...so thats were we got the bulk from too. So again if you want to shower Emilie with new clothes try to shoot for items 6-9 months. However it doesn't mean there isn't room for a few more cute dresses or sleepers either ;)

50 Days left!!!

We are now on the 50 day countdown!!

And there is only one month until FULL TERM!

Baby Shower details :)

The shower was great! And be warned this a long picture full post ;)
First I just want to say THANK YOU again to my gals who planned it :)

(Jen on the left and Bekah on the right)

Alright on to details about the party! I know we picked a crappy weekend, so I'm sorry for all of you who missed it. I wish you could have come :) But I do have to say with the days leading up to the party Jason and I were happy it was small. I know that we both had issues talking to more than one person at a time due to the fog our brains were still in. So if for some reason we gave you the impression of being distant...we were, but not because of you :) My brain only registered about 1/2 of what people said in larger groups and it never seemed to make sense, lol.

Bekah was the game planner and she did some great games! We did scratch off tickets and then played an introduction game. Where the people had to put a coin in the bank and give us advice. Which led to some interesting things :) But it allowed everyone to learn each others name and how they knew us. (no pictures of that game).

The next game was really cute :) Bekah read a story she wrote and everytime she said left or right you passed a bottle that way. We had two bottles, one being a baby bottle and the other a tabasco sauce one in honor of Jason :) (I will eventually type out the story and post it so be looking for it :) )

As you can see the bottle I'm holding is rather large. We discussed that it was probably from Zach's infancy ;)

Heaven (Jen's daughter) was really very lucky! She won the scratch offs and this game! YAY!
Must be because she convinced her mom to buy the cute pink lollypops :)

The last game we passed around a diaper cake and people had to guess the number of diapers in it. Tom won that one. And he won the bottle game too (since there were two bottles)

After this the boys went out to play with thier new toys :)
Since all the prizes were park outside type toys.

Jason even played alittle bit :) But I missed getting pics of that.

Forgive I forget when the cake came into play. But there was cake! And it was buttercream frosting and no purple :) Jen made sure of it for me :) And they even gave me a flower so I had extra frosting :) yay!! Emilie is sure to be sweet with all the sugary stuff I eat :)

We then moved on to presents while the boys played. There were so many cute outfits and very useful things! :) I worked on the Thank you cards right off. But I'm not going to send any out until after Emilie is here so everyone can also get a pic of her :) So please be patient!

Then we took some group shots before people started leaving.

And we compared some bellies :)

Oh how it would have been nice if Emilie had given him one good swift kick ;) hehehe

Thank you to everyone for coming!!
