Happy Halloween!!!

Mommy hasn't even began to sort through our trip pictures. With three cameras going it's going to take awhile!! Speaking of which Uncle Travis has to upload his :) Mommy will do hers today :) So here is a Halloween pic instead :) I don't know what mommy was thinking of when she put me in the pumpkin costume...that hat is just terrible!

Up Up and Away!!!

Today we are flying out!! It will be my first plane trip and my first time meeting Uncle Travis and Aunt Kristi :) I hope they like me :) Mommy says I was a handful yesterday so she's hoping I'm happier for the plane. I'm working on getting a good night sleep, she hopes that does the trick :) Mommy is having allergy troubles so this might be a long day on her.

Leaving the north country at 5:30 am the latest.
Boarding a plane around 9:45.
One stop on the way.
Hoping to be in Denver around 2 or 3.
Walmart run for diapers and other supplies.
Off to the pool!!!

(Mommy Note: Not sure if we will be updating this at all while away. I plan to spend some of my "free" time soaking and swimming. If we don't...see you sometime before the end of October :) )

Busy Busy Busy

So we've been everywhere it seems in the last few days. Mommy and Daddy came up to the north country again, since mommy's grandpa was in the hospital. I hadn't met them yet so we decided we should come up and see them before we flew out to see Uncle Travis. Mommy and I are staying at Grandma and Grandpa Dineen's again...on the couch cuddled up close. I love it!!

We went to another country for the first time..since our Great Grandparents live in Canada :) Then we saw our second cousin Caydance who mommy forgot to snap a picture of while we were visiting :\ Then we went to Potsdam to see Great Aunt Zonalynn ;) We've been pretty busy! I didn't get to see Great Grandpa Henry since he was in the ICU, but we did get to see Great Grandma Henry. Hopefully before we fly out to see Uncle Travis I also get to see Great Nan again, but she's been going to the doctors alot recently :\ Oh and Great Grandpa might be coming home before we fly out :) Yay!!

Here are some pics of our journey :)

Look what Great Aunt Sue got me :) What a pretty necklace :)

We are going WHERE mommy??? Another country?? WOW!

Hi Great Grandma Henry!!

Hi Great Aunt Zonalynn :)

Look Grandpa knows how to change dirty butts :)

Trip North

Alright I seriously need to learn that when recording I need to keep the camera straight :\ But this was still cute enough to post :)

Where are we going? 5 hours away! But Mom, I had a day planned of sleeping and eating...
I mean look at my booboos that the doctor gave me!

Eating at Pizza Hut in Potsdam :) My first meal there.

Visiting with Great Nan ;) Look she's wearing my favorite color, Pink :) We even match :) hehehe.

Mommy and I slept at Grandma and Grandpa Dineen's. We slept together on the couch :) Mommy was nice and warm, I loved it! See my big smiles!

Okay this was a little nuts. But mommy put a towel in the sink and laid me on it to give me a bath. I'm sure Grandma didn't like all the extra laundry, but mommy liked not having to hold me up to give me a bath :) I kind of liked it too, since I love to kick and wiggle in the water :) This was taken however when mommy was worried about my fever. I wasn't worried :) My temp was 100 so mommy gave me Tylenol and put me in a luke warm bath to try to get the fever down. I did have a fever the next day too, but nothing as high as that night. She was pleased about that :)

Here I am dressed up all pretty in a new dress :)

Oh and I know already that I'm going to get into all sorts of things at Grandma and Grandpa Dineen's. Grandma had a pumpkin waiting for me. Mommy decided that I should go in it for pictures :) hehehe. My first pumpkin...

What a Weekend!!

So mommy warned you all that there wouldn't be any posts last weekend. It was my first weekend vacation :) I'm mean we've went north, but this was my first time sleeping in a hotel, being a strange town. I didn't even go to Warrensburg when I was in mommy's tummy, so it was REALLY new to me!

Well is started with the drive there. Mommy made sure to put a bib on me so I wouldn't be all yucky when I saw Grandma and Grandpa Dineen. I fell asleep though. I didn't even make it to the bank right here in Endicott awake! (that is where mommy snapped this picture :) )

We met Grandpa and Grandma at The Golden Corral. I thought I was going to see horses or cows, but nope none there! Well cooked versions of cows, but not the alive mooing kind...anyways. I was still pretty sleepy from the trip. I woke up for a little bit but after I nursed and ate a little I fell right back to sleep. Mommy loved having grandma and grandpa there...she got to eat :) Well she mostly got to eat, they couldn't do all the feeding part :)

So Mommy and Daddy didn't have the room for the pack and play so they figured they would just sleep me in the stroller, but they found out the stroller doesn't lay flat...so mommy had the bright idea of using Grandpa and Grandma's suit case as a make shift crib...I LOVED it!!! It was so soft :) So much softer than my crib at home. I slept like a baby both nights! Plus mommy was so close to me since she was in the bed right beside me :)

The next day the garage sailing began! I had everyone up nice and early and we were out on the road by 8ish (i think), I don't remember since i fell back to sleep :)

It was pretty rainy and cold out, but I was kept nice and warm. Grandpa kept checking me at each sale to make sure I was toasty...mommy thought it was funny how they kept fussing :) I was fine :)

Oh mommy took this picture of Grandma since grandma always said she NEVER would wear a baby carrier or use one...look who is using a carrier ;)

Here I am all rested from my day of rest...while everyone else is tired from all the walking :) Oh did I forget to mention that I peed all over my clean clothes that were in our suitcase? Mommy was changing me on the counter, turned her head for a second and I peed...it dribbled off and into the duffel bag under the counter. So mommy was glad she packed me extra clothes since I wet most of them :\

Okay grandma and grandpa...I know you are upset that you have to say goodbye, but your going to see me in two weeks! Geesh ;)

Ah it's good to be home :)

Gone for the weekend

Post from Mommy:

No updates will be coming this weekend. But once we get back I'm sure I will have lots of pictures to upload :) I know Grandma and Grandpa are anxious to get in some Emilie time. Which mommy is looking forward to :) Now if I can just convince them to get up with her in the middle of the night ;) Hehehe

Miss Emilie showed Daddy her cranky side yesterday while mommy was out meeting other mommies. Daddy was NOT happy when I got home. Apparently she just wouldn't stop being miss cranky pants. Poor Daddy didn't even get to eat ! Then last night she was also a little PITA :\ He got up around 3 am for the day and I got up around 5 am. I went to bed later so in the end I think we both got the same amount of sleep :\ And today around 12 we are taking off for garage sale weekend in Warrensburg, NY.

But here are something things to make sure you get your weekend dose of Emilie ;)
During bath time she's always super pleasant so here are some shots of her in the tub :) These pictures/moments are why we don't kill her when we are sleep deprived ;) Babies are just to darn cute to do away with! Kind of like kitties...
I'm pretty sure she's learned how to flash a smile when she's just about irritated you to your breaking point...which then starts the process all over...lol.

Always before a bath I usually let her hang out in her birthday suit for alittle bit, while I get the water ready, etc. Recently I've found this is a good time to sneak in some tummy time...here she is during that :) (Note from Emilie -- my head is still just to darn heavy!!)

Other Randomness :)

2 Months Old :)

Break out the bibs

Your baby's salivary glands have been working since she was in utero, but you may notice that she's started to drool. She's also putting everything in her mouth and producing more saliva than she can swallow.

This doesn't mean that your baby's teething just yet, though — that probably won't happen for another two weeks, at least. The vast majority of babies sprout their first tooth between 4 and 7 months of age. If your baby's an early developer, you may see her first white cap, usually one of the bottom two middle teeth, as early as 3 months. (And in rare cases, a baby's first tooth is visible at birth!)

Many parents permanently affix a bib to their baby about now to catch the drool. Just remember to take it off when your baby sleeps to prevent strangulation.

The good news is that your baby's drool coats toys and other objects with disease-preventing proteins. That's fortunate — since she'll continue to explore anything she can get her hands on.

Sleeping for longer chunks of time

If your baby's sleeping through the night (five or six hours at a stretch), you're one of the lucky few..YAY!!!. Most 10-week-old babies still wake up in the middle of the night. But even babies who aren't sleeping through the night at this stage should be sleeping and staying awake for longer intervals instead of cycling back and forth so much. Your baby will most likely have two to four long sleep periods and as many as ten hours of awake time in 24 hours.

An interesting note: Whether your baby is a night owl or a morning lark, a long sleeper or short sleeper, she'll probably stay that way throughout childhood.

Turning over a new leaf

Your baby is learning how to rock and roll — well, maybe just roll. At this age, she'll probably be able to move from her side to her back and her back to her side. The complete roll over won't come for another month or so, though, because she needs stronger neck and arm muscles for that maneuver.

Your baby's increasing mobility means that you must keep a hand on her during diaper changes. Never leave your baby unattended on a bed or any other elevated surface now that she can move around.

Remember, your baby is an individual

All babies are unique and meet milestones at their own pace. Developmental guidelines simply show what your baby has the potential to accomplish — if not right now, then soon. If your baby was premature, keep in mind that kids born early usually need a bit more time to meet their milestones. If you have any questions at all about your baby's development, ask your healthcare provider.
